  • Each player casts, reels, and fights their fish
  • Both rods show on screen, side by side
  • Leaderboard shows the biggest of each species

Fishing spots

Six places worth the trip

Each spot is painted to match a real place and stocked with the fish that live there.

Quick start

How to Play the Fishing Game

  1. 1

    Pair your phone

Open Reel Fishing on Apple TV or Mac and on your iPhone, on the same Wi-Fi network.

Turn on Local Network on your iPhone: Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network > turn on Reel Fishing.

  2. 2

Touch the reel on your iPhone to center the rod

Hold your iPhone like a fishing pole, then hold down the reel with your thumb. You'll hear a click.

  3. 3

    Cast and Release

While holding the reel, cast back, then forward, and release.

  4. 4

Hook 'em and reel 'em in

When you feel a vibration on your phone, you've got a bite. Jerk up quickly to hook 'em. When the fish is pulling and vibrating, don't reel, or you'll break the line.

What devices do I need?
